  1. Get a Closer View of a Picture

  5. These buttons allow you to get a closer view of the picture on your screen but they do not actually increase or decrease the size of the final picture
  6.     
  7. >>> To magnify your view of the picture 
  8. 1  Create a selection border around the part of the page or picture that you wish to magnify.  
  9. 2  Click the Zoom tool with the plus sign.  The area inside the moving selection border will be rescanned and appear magnified on the screen.  It will be enlarged enough to fill the entire preview area.

  11. >>> To return your view to its original appearance (full page view) 
  12. 1  Click the Zoom tool with the minus sign.  The page on the scanner glass is rescanned and the view returns to its original appearance in the preview area.

  15. The Zoom tools are available only when a selection border exists.

  17. The magnifying action allows you to be more precise when drawing a selection border.  It does not affect the size or appearance of the final scanned picture.  If you need to specify or change the size of the final scanned picture, see How to Adjust the Size of a Picture.
